Our story

Founded in 2000 as Idaho-Nevada CDFI to help fund economic development and affordable housing initiatives, our mission has expanded to include financing for a broad range of community development projects crucial to assisting areas throughout the West impacted by poverty.

What we do

In addition to a full spectrum of community development loans, we also provide development services to applicants, borrowers and the communities they serve. We have found that combining project-specific technical assistance with low interest financing is the most effective way to ensure a project’s success. Specifically, we offer:

  • Financing for affordable housing, community facilities and community economic development projects
  • Direct short and long-term loans
  • Financial structuring and capital fund management for large projects or multi-year initiatives
  • Financial analysis of social purpose real estate projects
  • Building partnerships with other lenders, government agencies and the philanthropic sector
  • Technical assistance to applicants
  • Post-closing counseling and servicing for
